Asus Transformer

For Christmas I bought myself an Asus laptop. It was cheap, dependable, exactly what I needed for writing. It was about fourteen inches, so it was big enough to get a good bit on the screen, was quick with 4 GB of ram, and had tons of space. I just traded it in though, so that’s not what I’m writing about. It wasn’t that it was a bad laptop, it just wasn’t what I had in mind. For years, I’ve either written on our desktop PC or my netbook. The netbook has finally worn itself out and I really wanted something that was just as portable but quicker. The Asus I bought was right at $300 and I really thought it would meet that. The moment I opened it up though, I knew it was a problem. First, the keyboard sounded hollow. Star Wars

Cracked has a pretty great post (because there are two people in the world, those that like Star Wars and those that like Star Trek, and I’m the former) about why Star Wars is betterĀ that Star Trek. What I didn’t realize until I read it, and I have to kinda apologize for this, is that J.J. Abrams did essentially make the Star Trek movies into Star Wars. I like the whole time displacement that has given them a reason…

Our Holiday Hiatus is over and the Walking Dead is back! Tonight’s episode was a decent example of what the Walking Dead does really well, that slow burn type stuff, where we take a quick break to let the characters simmer on all that’s been going on. Rick looks like a Walker all by himself and spends most of the episode unconscious. Carl was the majority of the episode and spent most of his time trying to prove he didn’t need his dad. The kid is one of those characters the fans seem to hate, yet he never really got on my nerves. Lori and Andrea, possibly two of the most hated characters in television during their run, had a tendency to do stuff that was out of character. This wasn’t the actresses fault by any means, it was bad writing and I’ve already written about that before. Actually…I wrote…
